For School Counselors
Dear School Counselors:
As the directors of Character Camp, Erik and I are really excited to be able to bring 60 of our finest High School students across our state of Pennsylvania to attend Character Camp! Thanks to our sponsors, we are able to offer half "characterships" to two primary types of students:
- Students who have already demonstrated strong character traits and are emerging leaders
- Resilient students who come from a lower socio-economic background but have displayed a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Each year we select a group of student leaders (approximately 10 out of the 60 campers) to lead the "Character Teams" through the various breakout sessions. We also identify entering 11th or 12th graders who you would recommend as one of the 10 Character Leaders.
Erik and I realize that the success of Character Camp depends greatly on the partnerships we form with you in identifying character campers.
